We Are CHOSEN

But Chosen for what?
The Bible says we represent Jesus Christ. When people see us, they take what they see and relate it to God. So he calls us to love each other and that means more than our church, but the world. We are not chosen to just be chosen. We are chosen to reveal God to the world through love, service and living in a holy way.
The phrase we’ve adopted in Chosen youth is: practicing the presence of God in the lives of others.
So how do we do that?
We have a little acronym we use: PHILD.
Passion
I am excited about God. This is more than a religion, more than a relationship; it's life. That causes me to go farther than the bare minimum; stay longer; work harder; do more. All for God.

Humility
I am the least of those around me. Not because I lack value, but because I choose to put others ahead of myself.

Integrity
Who I am when nobody sees me is who I truly am. I will honor God by making my private life the same as my public life. And by making them both things that people can't criticize.

Love
I will see with love, do with love, think with love and speak with love. Love will infuse my life and be the stick I measure it by. I will do everything with love, because anything done without love is a waste of time.

Devotion
In all things I do, I will stay devoted to God. I will turn neither to the left nor the right and stay on his path. When I do falter, the first thing I do will be to get back on the path. My devotion does not come from guilt, or fear, but from love.
