Why We Exist:

We exist to celebrate God's presence through worship. We have two worship services on Sundays. We worship through singing, commitment, praying, studying God's word, giving, baptism, meditating, and the Lord's supper.

We exist to communicate God's word because a church must never stop growing. God loves people and commands us to reach out to them.

We exist to educate God's people.

We exist to demonstrate God's love. At LUMC, ever member has a talent that needs to be turned into a ministry.

We exist to incorporate people into membership. Fellowship is more than cookies and coffee. It is an intentional effort to make people feel loved and welcome in our church and to connect people to each other. Fellowship is not so much a program that we do, it is something we are.

Our Administrative Team

The Ad Team is a group of twelve individuals who were elected by members of this church to serve a three year term on a board called the Ad Team. The Ad Team, along with the Pastor, is in charge of the business and the direction of the church. The Ad Team meets monthly in meetings open to the public.

The Ad Team is made up of three smaller committees:


Staff/Pastor Relations

The Staff/Pastor Relations Committee (SPRC) is in charge of keeping the church staffed. The SPRC also updates the employee handbook, is in charge of employee evaluations, and is involved in a lot of other Human Resource duties.

Trustees

The Trustees are responsible for the property of the church which includes the church, the parsonage, and the church's land.

Finance

The Finance Committee is in charge of managing the budget, performing the annual audit of the church books, and directing the stewardship drive.
